How did it all begin?

The young mother of a one-year-old (then eight-month-old) girl decided on an interesting venture with her husband - to move from her native Croatia to the Netherlands. The reason for the move is Josip's, husband's (he will write Ljubi or Lju everywhere else) new job. We certainly wanted to have the experience of life outside our homeland, but we didn't really imagine it in the Netherlands. The possibility of choosing did not exist, and the opportunity opened up, so we accepted it with both hands (six hands). To make the whole situation more interesting and tense, baby number 2, who is still hiding in the safe den, made sure. Not for long, it arrives as a gift for Christmas. Along with all these stormy events, there was a desire for a textual and visual expression of everything. I was thinking about how to make it happen and it dawned on me - in the form of a blog! That's how it all starts.

We arrived at the 'Franje Tuđman' airport on May 31st, and now we have been there for 4 months.

Proof picture that we were really at the airport and another one that testifies that Frida had complete trust in the staff of Croatia Airlines. It required a lot of preparation and organization to get there, and we didn't have much time. Not even a full month. Not to mention that we confirmed the accommodation about 10 days before the flight. And our hearts were as full as a house, knowing that we would be able to come together, and not 'in a pinch'. It was almost likely that we would initially be at different addresses, in different countries, since it is difficult and expensive to find accommodation here.

This is a very short introduction, but I want to break the organization of arrival and adaptation to life here into several categories - what you need to bring with you, how to transport a large amount of things, what steps to take in the Netherlands if you have a small child and/or if you are pregnant , what you will probably need from documentation for successful employment, general tips and tricks for life in the Netherlands and a cost estimate for all of this.

So guys, stay tuned.
